In the heart of Salvia, surrounded by jungle, Instinto is our tropical kitchen. A table where our own harvest meets what local farmers and growers bring, and where the flavours of this land come together.
On the land, we are still learning. We watch the cycles of the moon and the timing of each crop, weaving ancestral and campesino knowledge with permaculture principles. Planting, harvesting and cooking are all part of one relationship with the place.
We cook well and without hurry. A varied menu for different tastes and ways of eating, with vegetarian and vegan options and a mindful eye on every ingredient we choose.

Next to Instinto, among the gardens, Alegría is our Children’s House: a space of bamboo and earth for playing, climbing, imagining and meeting others.
Close by, the football pitch and the beach volleyball court make room for movement, matches and games shared between kids and grown-ups.

At Salvia, wellbeing grows out of simple things: water, plants, movement, fire and rest. Different ways to pause, listen to ourselves and repair.
Mukuna gathers the wisdom of plants into massages, baths and restorative therapies. AURA makes room for movement, practice and gathering; as night falls, it also invites you to sit close to the fire and share.

Salvia Madre hosts retreats, groups and gatherings where lodging, food, wellness and experiences come together in a single proposal.
AURA is a versatile space for yoga, movement, workshops and gatherings, supported by Instinto Bistró and everything Salvia and its surroundings have to offer.
We work alongside facilitators, agencies and organisers to design each stay around what the group needs.

Salvia has grown by learning to live with the land and its cycles. A relationship of reciprocity that asks us to care for what we receive and to move, little by little, towards greater self-sufficiency in food, energy and water.
Tropical gardens run all through Salvia. Among trees, plants and flowers, toucans, monkeys and birds, life is showing itself all the time. Watching, listening and living alongside it slowly awakens a different sensitivity, to what surrounds us and to ourselves.
We grow part of our own food, run much of our operation on solar energy and keep learning new ways to care for water, regenerate the soil and produce closer to home.
That relationship reaches the community we belong to. Through Fundación Costeño Social we have spent years working with children, young people and families in Guachaca, creating spaces to learn, play, express themselves and grow together.
